Cooking Together – Cooking Workshop!
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, an intercultural cooking workshop took place at the AWO premises in Berlin-Charlottenburg (13627). People from diverse backgrounds came together to prepare manti collectively and engage in conversation.
The diversity of the participants was particularly wonderful: the group included people of various ages, as well as individuals with different cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
In addition to cooking together, we also discussed topics such as nutrition, sustainability, cultural diversity, and global interconnections. Throughout the workshop, many fascinating conversations emerged regarding culinary cultures, personal experiences, and traditions from various countries.
Sharing a meal together fostered new connections and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The workshop demonstrated how food can bring people together—regardless of language, origin, or age.
This project was funded by the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering (Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt).
Many thanks to all the participants for making this such a lovely afternoon together! ❤️
